To be truely frugal you need to collect coupons from the newspapers and magazines that you read. If its not your magazine then please ask the owner before you whip out your scissors.

The idea of coupon swapping is simple. Collect all the coupons you see and then take them into work and see if you can give them away! You'll hopefully get epople interested enough in coupons to get them started collecting and using them too.

You could always place unwanted coupons in a transparent wallet on the noticeboard at work and let people help themselves to the ones they want - and with a little encouragement they might start adding their unwanted ones too.

• Cut out all coupons from magazines and papers - even if you're not planning on using them
• Go through all paper smagazines before you send them for recycling to make sure you've missed none
