Frugal food Tips

Getting free food or food for nearly nothing

Get the bargains at the supermarket -
Work out when your local supermarket price reduces. Go in to pick up the bargains.
Also check out the fruit section to see if they have a bargain veg area.
Only buy what you can use within sell by dates or freeze.
Try supermarket own brands to save massively on things like beans, soup, biscuits etc.

Check out if weigh and save stores can save you money. You can either buy a smaller amount and pay a sensible price or a larger amount and save more. Save old jars and containers to store things in securely.
Save all your old jars and plastic containers. Wash and store for future use.
Beans and pulses are often a cheaper source of protein than meat.
