Other frugal sites

US frugal living site with useful links - home of the newsgroup misc.consumers.frugal-living!

Vegan Food site - listing some interesting recipes including Aduki Bean Cottage Pie - which looks very similar to a version I make! Yummy! They also have some christmas recipes on there too!

The Vegan Village - another useful site with some interesting recipes... Almond poridge looks very delicious so I'll make that and tell you how it goes. I might even take a photo!
they have recipes for onion bahjiis which are so cheap to make at home you'll wonder why you ever buy them from shops!

International Frugal Fun Day - First Saturday in October - do something for less thna $5 or ideally free! (OK in the UK lets say £5... ) It will encourage you to think of things you can do together which don't cost anything. Make the most of the world around you - walking is free and there are bound to be some interesting places to visit you! Or fly a kite, play games with kids using the stuff you've already got.
Our ideas include an obstacle course, collecting leaves and pressing them (bit sedate but make sure you take a long walk to find the leaves), playing rounders (we've got bat and ball!), and visiting the local library - to hire a film for £1!

4orMore - now this is a very interesting site looking at how to be frugal when you've got several children, as well as loads of great articles about lots of things like celebrations, keeping the kids entertained, frugal food ideas, including using a bread maker and the easy yo yoghurt system (Which we also recommend!)
There is also a great article about bulk buying - which is worth looking at!
I think you'll really enjoy reading this site - I know I have!
