Saving money is easier than you think

How to save money

If you would like to start living more frugally and saving cash, then we hope to offer you some advice on making saving money. If you would like to save a lot of money then you'll have to pull out all the stops and plan how you're going to manage to save the additional cash.

Open a savings account too - and one for the kids. Its good to teach kids about saving from an early age.
For kids a money box is the first introduction to money they get. Allow them to save up cash they get given and put it into a bank account. Some children enjoy this more than others so you may have to encourage them by giving them small amounts of money that isn't enough to buy anything with so they get in the habit of putting money in their savings box, or giving them pocket money and suggesting they spend some and save some for later in the week... most of the time they'll leave it in the money box.

Are you owed Tax?

Refunds Direct - this company will help you find out and if you've got a refund they'll get it back for you. They have a 60 second survey - just think you could get loads of cash back! Well worth looking at
